Jungle Crafts

Jungle crafts - works well for ages 8 and up; or younger if someone can assist them.

Jungle jewelry:

Buy wooden beads and snake-looking leather cord. Craft supply stores such as Michael's and JoAnn's usually have leather cord and beads with large holes in them; WalMart and Big Lots may as well.  Make sure the bead holes are large enough for the cord to thread through. Cut cord into 15 inch lengths or longer, or whatever lengths you like. Leave them long enough that you can make knots between the beads and still tie as either a bracelet or necklace. Or, take 3 strips of cord and braid them. This works well for bracelets, necklaces and key chains.

Jungle bookmarks:

Buy jungle patterned felt at craft store such as Michael's. Cut it into bookmark size lengths and widths. Take a hole punch and punch a hole in the felt. Cut about 6 inch strings of yarn. Loop through the hole in the felt and tie off with a large bead.
